Application Guidelines
Substrate Preparation
Ensure the surface is solid, dry, clean, and free of dust, grease, or old paint. Follow these guidelines for best results:
Temperature Check
1. Apply when the surface and air temperature are above 5°C.
Crack Repair
2. Use suitable repair compounds to fill defects and cracks for a smooth surface.
Repainting
3. Check adhesion of existing paint using the cross-hatch method. Remove non-adherent paint; sand down adherent surfaces and clean thoroughly.
Primer
4. For repainted surfaces, sand the existing paint to roughen it, clean the surface thoroughly, and apply one coat of Zydex Premium Wall Primer.
Surface Suitability
5. Not recommended for use on metal, wood, varnishes, or oil-based paints.
Application Method
- Apply two coats using a brush or roller, diluted with water up to 30%.
- For uneven surfaces, a third coat may be required to ensure a uniform finish.
- Allow a minimum of 4 hours between coats to maintain proper adhesion and finish quality.
