Application Guidelines
Applications
ElastoSil can be applied across a range of waterproofing needs, including:
Roofs and Terraces
For roof areas exposed to harsh weather conditions where waterproofing is essential.
Bathrooms
Provides a robust waterproofing solution for sunken areas such as bathroom.
Water Tank and Swimming Pool
Helps seal and prevent water ingress into swimming pool and water tank structures.
Balconies
Protects balconies exposed to exterior weathers from water ingress due to collection of rain water.
Substrate
- Surface Preparation: Clean Surface: Remove loose cement mortar and dust using an air blower or an industrial vacuum cleaner, followed by a high-pressure water-jet cleaning. Allow the surface to dry completely, and do seepage proofing using diluted ZycoSil+ solution as per guidelines.
- Repair Work: Cold Bond Application: Apply Cold Bond followed by a repair mortar to address damaged surfaces.
Membrane Top Coat
- Mixing: Mix 1 litre of ElastoSil with 750 gm cement and add up to 200 ml of clean potable water. Adjust the water quantity to achieve a consistent paste.
- First Coat: Apply the mixture using a brush or roller. Allow the first coat to dry for 6-8 hours.
- Second Coat: Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first coat and Allow it to dry. Cure the treated surface for 2-3 days to achieve effective waterproofing.

20-22 sq.ft./Litre of ElastoSil in 2 coats.

- Storage Instructions: Store between +5°C and +45°C in a cool, shaded area.
