Application Guidelines
Substrate Preparation
1. Remove all loose, flaking, and unstable material thoroughly.
2. Wash surfaces with clean cold water using a pressure washer to clear dirt and dust.
3. Saturate the surface including the cracks with Zycosil+ solution as a penetrative water repellent primer to ensure waterproofing. Allow to fully dry before proceeding with crack repairs. This step is STRONGLY recommended on new plasters being painted for the first time and mandatory for repainting jobs.
4. Repair all surface defects and cracks using mineral-based compounds.
5. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants before painting.
6. For repainting, follow the surface preparation procedures as per the instructions from a Zydex representative or authorized partner.
Application Method
- Apply two coats, diluted between 20-30% with potable water, depending on the surface.
- Allow a minimum of 12 hours between coats to ensure proper adhesion and finish.
- Cover all surfaces not to be painted, particularly mineral surfaces like glass, stone, and ceramics.
- Do not dilute beyond 30% to maintain the paint’s quality and protective properties.
Consumption
Coverage: Approximately 4.6 m²/ltr (50 sq.ft./ltr) for two coats.
Note: Actual consumption may vary depending on surface characteristics and absorbency.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Clean all equipment immediately with water after use.
Packaging & Storage
- Available in 1 ltr, 4 ltr, and 20 ltr packaging.
- Store in a cool, shaded area with a shelf life of approximately 48 months.
- Unused paint should be stored in airtight containers to minimize air exposure.
